Gold up $50 in overnight trading

Gold is up US$50 in London in New York trading overnight, bringing the yellow metal in AUD close to its 2011 highs. In fact in AUD there have only been 8 days where the gold price has closed higher than its current levels.

For those who called gold doomed or a pet rock they can go cry me river.....

Asian Markets give Gold the tick of approval

Hong Kong trading has just commenced for the day after break for the Lunar New Year.It seems Chinese investors have given the recent rise in the gold price a tick of approval, moving the price up through US$1,200.
