UK enters the Third World - Metal theft plagues London

This story remains me of a supposedly inspiring speech given by a high level exec I had to sit through in 2005. He was recalling the details of his latest trip to India and how wonderful the place was because it was "totally wireless", at which point my South African mate leaned over and whispered "that's because the peasants have stolen all the wires".
