Gold scales in the Reserve Bank of Australia Museum

My latest attempt to find out the general location of Reserve Bank of Australia's gold reserves (aka Our Gold). As usual I was meet by the PF Key.


Subject: FOI request for details of storage location of RBA's Gold Reserves

I would like to submit a FOI request as follows:

"Are the RBA's Gold reserves held in Australia or offshore? If offshore in what location(s) is the Gold held?"  

 

Thank you for your email.

The Bank does not publish the location of its gold reserves.

This is one of the funniest videos I have come across in ages, and Yanks wonder why the rest of the world laughs at them.

To set the record straight silver buyers are not in my experience Crazy, Lonely, White guys. I mostly sell gold and silver to intelligent, hard working, non-white men and women with their partners and kids in tow. Most crazy, lonely, white guys I come across in my life are invested in paper instruments, such as shares, term deposits and bonds.

German workers dismantle a Euro sculpture in front of a terminal at the Frankfurt International Airport yesterday. The sculpture is an exact copy of the one standing in front of the European Central Bank (ECB) in downtown Frankfurt and was made after a design by German artist Ottmar Hoerl. The 15m high blue and yellow sculpture was standing in front of the terminal for 11 years but plastic parts were getting weak and an extension of the airport rail to another terminal needed the space.
