Fascist Governments have no fashion sense

Why is it that fascists governments always opt for black shirts for the menacing guys up front and brown shirts for those who stir up trouble. Although to be fair Germans and Americans where never known for any sense of fashion.

On Thursday in Riverside, California students were protesting the regents of the University of California. Over 400 students were demanding a reversal to the privatization of the university and tuition hikes; according to some students, the deputy sheriffs had been summoned to reinforce the dozens of riot cops. Rubber bullets and pepper balls were fired at students.

UK bans Press TV: 'Iran getting closer to total isolation'

Interesting development in UK press freedom. Not as if the UK's government owned broadcaster isn't up for some state propaganda at times. Anyway the ban of Press TV from Sat TV (it was a channel on BSkyB) is some what pointless as you can watch the channel on youtube here.
